“Filipino Hospitality”

Acrylic on canvas
April 2021

Seeing what Filipinos are deep in their cores, Ms. Mikael Panganiban depicts them as the subject in her painting- asking who she is as well while contemplating about the subject itself. The world have already known that we, Filipinos, are very hospitable at heart even when times we are taken over or even if they were an enemy, we’d give them what we could offer to help (Magellan-Elcano Crusade, hungry soldiers)

Working in acrylic on canvas with its rich tones to give his painting a vibrant presence as well as a clear message in the simplest way. The artist lives and works in the Philippines as a freshman student under UP Diliman College of Fine Arts taking up Visual Communication.
